Applied research for the agro-zootechnics of the future

The Research Division of AgriBusiness Consulting was created to apply university-developed knowledge to real-world agricultural and livestock operations.

By working closely with local agricultural structures, the aim of ABC is to test and evaluate new production processes, technologies, and farm management strategies in commercial settings.

The key areas of the applied research include

  • Innovative products and the varietal evaluation of field crops;
  • Technical and economic assessments of new agronomic, harvesting, and forage conservation strategies for dairy and beef animals;
  • The use of additives and bacterial inoculants to enhance silage quality and nutrition;
  • The testing of feed additives, supplements, and agro-industrial by-products in the diets of productive and non-productive livestock;
  • The development of specialized rations for dairy cows to improve their performance and health, and farm sustainability;
  • The evaluation of the environmental impacts on livestock farming and across the dairy supply chain (e.g., cheese plants, cooperatives, processors);
