June 23, 2025The past two years have witnessed a steady rise in milk prices, along with a decline in the costs of the key energy and protein feed ingredients used in dairy cow nutrition. Since feed costs account for around 60% of the total milk production costs, this market trend has created a unique opportunity to maximize the profitability of dairy farms. In this context, strategically optimizing the feeding plan of a farm to boost the milk output and lower feed expenses has proved to be particularly advantageous.
